Photograph of a section of the trading floor of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange. " A section of the trading floor of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange upon the occasion of the visit of the American Institute of Banking, Los Angeles Chapter, during an "open house" conducted by the Exchange. More than 600 members of the Institute attended this meeting from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The program, as conducted by the Exchange, included a brief outline of the history and development of the Exchange, a pictorial display illustrating the functions of the various departments and a practical demonstration of floor trading conducted by members of the Exchange. This meeting was held March 13, 1931" -- typed on verso.; "During the recent convention of the California Banker's Association in this city, delegates were the guests of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange, and were invited into trading methods in their most minute detail. This group, pictured above, is typical of many others who are taking advantage of the opportunity offered by the local security organization to give to the public complete information on the workings of the exchange" -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated "June 7, 1931".
