Lawton Collins, Army Chief of Staff, halts to talk to Sergeant George Glassick of the Chamber of Commerce. 701st Military Police Honor Guard during honors tended him at Fort McArthur. In the inspection party are Captain Harlin C. Carson (wearing helmet), commanding the Honor Guard, and Major General William B. Kean in regular Armay blouse. Number 2: General J. Lawton Collins, Army Chief of Staff, passes Warrant Officer Junior Grade James H. Krohe, Bandmaster of the 44th Infantry Division Band of the Illinois National Guard unit from Springfield Illinois, stationed at Camp Cook but at Fort McArthur yesterday (Friday) to provide music for General Collins' inspection. Number 3: General J. Lawton Collins shakes hands with Sergeant Willim Bohannan of Military Police Honor Guard at Fort McArthur. Gun number 1, firing in turn in 17-gun salute tendered to General J.
