Measurements and Analysis Products from Baselining the Indirect Effect by Improving Quantification of Sea Spray and Marine Sources at Ascension Island during LASIC
View DatasetDescription
This collection provides codes and data that are described in the following publications: “Retrieval of the sea spray aerosol mode from submicron particle size distribution and supermicron scattering during LASIC” (Dedrick et al., 2022); “Aerosol-Limited Effects on Cloud Condensation Nuclei in Clean Conditions in the Tropical South Atlantic Boundary Layer during LASIC" (Dedrick et al., 2024); “Competition Response of Cloud Supersaturation Explains Diminished Twomey Effect for Smoky Aerosol in the Tropical Atlantic” (Submitted). Measurements used in this collection were obtained during the Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Layered Atlantic Smoke Interactions with Clouds (LASIC) campaign from June 2016 to October 2017 and observations from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite. These datasets are provided as comma- and tab-separated files at 2-hour resolution during the LASIC campaign. The retrieval codes are provided as MATLAB scripts.
