Description

This study focuses on finding a proper size for the hybrid energy system that integrates photovoltaic panels, battery storage, hydrogen storage, and a reversible solid oxide fuel cell. The methodology begins with simulating the system's operation based on a detailed mathematical model of the devices' physical behaviors. Following the simulation, an innovative optimization strategy is employed, which combines the Design of Experiments (DOE) with a differential evolution algorithm. This approach is used to explore various system configurations to find the optimal balance between performance and cost. Four distinct optimization functions were evaluated to determine the most effective method for achieving this balance.
