Measurements of propidium iodide fluorescence intensity in hippocampal slices cultured with upconverting nanoparticles

Description

In the study we evaluated the impact of upconverting nanoparticles added at different concentrations on the viability of cells in cultured organotypic hippocampal slices. Microscopic images of slices were collected with Axio Vert microscope. The color images were converted to grayscale, thresholded, and the fluorescence from each hippocampal slice was measured using ImageJ software. Results of the analyses of the data are presented in Figure 7 in the linked paper [Zajdel et al.; Int J Mol Sci; 2023]. The values in the graph are the means of mean grey value (arbitrary units) of at last 4 hippocampal slices.
