Description

SrPt2 is Cubic Laves structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Pt atoms. All Sr–Pt bond lengths are 3.27 Å. Pt is bonded to six equivalent Sr and six equivalent Pt atoms to form a mixture of edge, face, and corner-sharing PtSr6Pt6 cuboctahedra. All Pt–Pt bond lengths are 2.79 Å.
