Description
SmRu2 is Cubic Laves structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Ru atoms. All Sm–Ru bond lengths are 3.16 Å. Ru is bonded to six equivalent Sm and six equivalent Ru atoms to form a mixture of face, edge, and corner-sharing RuSm6Ru6 cuboctahedra. All Ru–Ru bond lengths are 2.70 Å.
