Survey of 3 prime GG gRNA sites in 8 genomes
View DatasetDescription
gRNA sites with a 3' GG motif adjacent to the PAM site have been shown to exhibit substantially higher genome-editing efficiency in C. elegans. I scanned 6 model genomes (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster, Danio rerio, Mus musculus, and Homo sapiens) and two non-model genomes (Sus scrofa and Loxodonta africana) for these motifs using Ensembl Release 79 reference genomes. This dataset compiles for each species the gRNA sites observed, number of observations, location, and genes overlapping, as well as for each gene a tabulation of how many times a given gRNA class overlaps it.
