Description

CERN-PS. Final measurements of the double-differential PI+- production cross sections in the pion momentum range 100 to 800 MeV and angle 0.35 to 2.15 radions in P-BE, P-C, P-AC, P-CU, P-SN, P-TA and P-PB collisions at incident energies from 3 to 12.9 GeV. The data were taken with the large acceptance HARP detector in the T9 beam line with a 5 PCT nuclear interaction target length. The data in this paper include and supersede the previously published HARP results with which they are compatible.. The errors in the tables are the combined statistics and systematics (excluding the 2 PCT normalization uncertainty) and are the diagonal elements of the fitted covariance matrix.CERN-PS.
