During the Mine Wastewater Solutions Project, a process of metagenomic inference was used to predict the presence of sulfur oxidizing pathways (cSOx, iSOx, rDSR, and S4I) in the SOB identified in these mesocosm experiments, via 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The sulfur genes identified in the MAGs are listed here.
