Materials Data on CaCdSi by Materials Project

None Available

Description

CaCdSi is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca2+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Cd2+ and six equivalent Si4- atoms. All Ca–Cd bond lengths are 2.89 Å. All Ca–Si bond lengths are 3.34 Å. Cd2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ca2+ and four equivalent Si4- atoms. All Cd–Si bond lengths are 2.89 Å. Si4- is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ca2+ and four equivalent Cd2+ atoms.
