Weaker plant-frugivore trait matching towards the tropics and on islands

Description

We quantified the latitudinal and insular variation of trait matching in avian frugivory networks. Our findings supports Darwin's idea that biotic interactions are weaker on islands, but reject Wallace's viewpoint that biotic interactions are stronger in the tropic.
