This experiment investigates the influence of presence of an interviewer and incentivation on equality preferences. Experimental conditions: (1) priming towards cooperation and competition. (2) eyes/no eyes on the computer screen, (3) incentive/no incentive Purpose: The goal of this experiment was to measure the influence of the presence of an interviewer and incentives on equality preferences. Key Findings: Priming towards competition increases individual unequality preferences, eyes lower the inequality preferences in the competition setting. Incentives increase the inequality preference.
