Conservative limits on primordial black holes from the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA observations
View DatasetDescription
This dataset contains the total comoving merger rates in the unit of (Gpc−3yr−1) as a function of redshift, for primordial black holes (PBHs) in dark matter halos with masses ranging from 103 M⊙ to 1015 M⊙, assuming that all halos are populated by PBHs, i.e., fPBH = 1. The total rate includes two merger channels: (1) Direct Captures: mergers via gravitational wave emission. (2) Binary-Single Interactions: binaries hardening through interactions with single and wide binary PBHs assuming fPBH,binaries = 0.5. For more details, please see:arXiv:2408.06515The total rates are provided in text files containing two columns of data [redshift, total Rate (Gpc−3yr−1)] for the following two cases:1)Monochromatic PBH mass distribution ranging from 5 M⊙ to 80 M⊙2) lognormal PBH mass distribution with σ = 0.6 and varying ln(mPBH) This dataset also contains the limits on PBH obtained by using the rates provided here and a method based on the work presented in arXiv:2409.00179 Please see our paper with the same title as this page for details on how we derive the PBH limits
