Description

Educational leaders and teachers areincreasingly embracing the concept of student voice and implementing studentvoice practices (SVPs) in schools and classrooms. This project sought to develop and validate two SVPs scales that together reflect the state of SVPs in aschool. One 17-item scale focuses on teachers’ SVPs, and the other 11-itemscale addresses school-level SVPs. The SVPs scales can advance research on studentvoice in schools by helping to clarify the enabling conditions and the effectsof practices that give students a say in improving their educationalexperiences.
