Description

The priming process of soil organic matter (SOM) mineralization is crucial in regulating soil carbon supply. However, the role of periphytic biofilms (PB) at the water-soil interface in modulating SOM mineralization and its priming effect (PE) remains poorly understood. Therefore, we employed 13C-labeled PB and 13C-labeled glucose to investigate how PB biomass and growth influence SOM mineralization and PE in paddy soil.
