Water temperature, salinity, and other data from CTD and water sample data taken from research vessel Oceanus, cruise 449/1, in the Northwestern Tropical Atlantic, from 2008-07-18 to 2008-07-28 (NCEI Accession 0167644)

Cruise 449/1 by research vessel Oceanus in July 2008 had the objective to service a number of moored platforms for the Northwest Tropical Atlantic Station (NTAS) and Meridional Overturning Variability Experiment (MOVE) projects. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with salinity water samples were collected; these data are reported here. The CTD salinity data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. The raw CTD data files are included in this archive as well and contain other parameters such as oxygen, optical attenuation, and fluorescence, which are not thoroughly calibrated. The data format is NetCDF.
