Description

For detailed description, see Neogi et al. (2025) CHAMP relative density tides are normalized to 390 km altitude using the Bruinsma et al. (2006) algorithm. Vector averaged 2002-2004 composite monthly means of amplitudes and phases are provided as a function of latitude and month from 60 S – 60 N. Six diurnal migrating and nonmigrating tides are included (DW2, DW1, D0, DE1, DE2, DE3) and seven semidiurnal components (SW4, SW3, SW2, SW1, S0, SE1, SE2). Phases are universal time of maximum at 0 degree longitude.
