Mammal data from Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona: 2016-2024 - internal
Description
This dataset contains long-term monitoring data for mammals in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The National Park Service (NPS)’s Sonoran Desert Network (SODN) uses passively-triggered remote wildlife cameras to monitor medium- and large-sized mammals to provide information on the “terrestrial mammals” vital sign and several individual species identified in the SODN monitoring plan (NPS 2005). The overall goal of the Sonoran Desert Network’s terrestrial mammal monitoring program is to ascertain broad-scale changes in park terrestrial mammal communities in the context of changes in other ecological drivers, stressors, ecological processes, and focal resources of interest.
