Description

This data set accompanies the publication in Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta titled "Equilibrium Fe isotope fractionation between olivine, pyroxene, spinel, and MORB glass: Implications for mantle partial melting to generate MORBs". It includes the following components: (i) Nuclear Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (NRIXS) Data, which includes raw NRIXS scans for the investigated phases (olivine, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, and basalt glass), as well as the treatment and processed results (force constants and other relevant physical properties) obtained using SciPhon software. (ii) Simulations of mantle partial melting using pMELTS program, and (iii) Mössbauer spectroscopy data quantifying the Fe³⁺/ΣFe ratios in the investigated minerals phases.
