Corrosion and ash behavior in thermal conversion of poultry litter and cattle manure with mineral additives
View DatasetDescription
[ENG:]This collection contains research data obtained within the project titled “The influence of aluminosilicate additives on high-temperature corrosion and ash properties of animal-origin biomass”, funded by the National Science Centre (Poland). The project aims to determine the influence of aluminosilicate additives on the ash properties and corrosion potential of animal biomass. The study focuses on slagging tendency, high-temperature corrosion, ash particle size distribution, and the content and leachability of metals. Two types of biomass with the highest potential were analyzed: poultry litter and cattle manure. The data included:fuel and ash analyses for biomass samples (poultry litter, cattle manure) with and without 8% addition of aluminosilicates (kaolin, haloysite, bentonite),corrosion test results for two boiler steels (16Mo3 and 10Cr9-10) exposed to ashes with 0%, 4%, and 8% additive content in the fuel, structural fuel analyses using XRD (X-ray Diffraction) and EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy),SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope)/EDS images analysis of corrosion layers formed on 10Cr9-10 steel, for ashes both with and without additives,a text file with a legend and detailed content description.
