Optical and biogeochemical data from DOORS cruise 2, 01-10 September 2023

This dataset includes the optical and biogeochemical data collected during the DOORS #2 Cruise in September 2023. DOORS (Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea, No. 101000518) is a Horizon 2020 project funded by the European Union. Details of the data are as follows:Rrs: remote sensing reflectance measured using TriOS with the above-water approach, units: sr-1;Chl-a: Chlorophyll-a concentration measured using the HPLC method, units: mg/m3;PABS: absorption coefficients measured using the spectrophotometric method in the laboratory, which include particulate absorption coefficient (ap), absorption coefficient of phytoplankton pigment (aph), and absorption coefficient of non-algal particles (aNAP), units: m-1;CDOM: coloured dissolved organic matter, measured using the spectrophotometric method in the laboratory, units: m-1;AOT: aerosol optic thickness, measured using a sun photometer.Details about the protocols used for measuring the data can be found in Jiang et al.
