Photograph of a panoramic view of Santa Monica palisades, looking southwest from the foothills, ca.1904. Rolling, grassy hills are visible with the ocean on the horizon beyond. To the extreme right, a post-and-wire fence can be seen sloping down part of the foreground hill, while a second section of fence can be seen in the centerground to the left. In the far left distance, a road can be seen, along with a cluster of trees. The hills seem to collapse into a gully or a strait in the distance just left of center.
