"IEEE RTS 79, IEEE 118 and a real world provincial power system"

Yan Yang;Wenyan Shu

Description

"In the IEEE RTS-79 and IEEE 118  systems, source domain load variations follow a normal distribution with a mean equal to the initial load and a standard deviation of 10%. The target domain introduces a 10% penetration of wind and photovoltaic power based on the source domain settings. The component failure rate remains consistent across both the source and target domains. The coefficient of variation for the simulation is set to 5%, or alternatively, fixed sample sizes are adopted with 50,000 or 60,000 in the source domain and 15,000 in the target domain. The practical provincial power system, located in Southwest China and serving over ten million people, consists of 341 buses, 48 generators, and 547 branches. In the source domain, load fluctuations follow a normal distribution with the mean equal to the initial load and a standard deviation of 10%. The target domain introduces a 5% penetration of wind and photovoltaic power. A fixed number of 8,000 source and 3,000 target samples is used for simulation, resulting in an input feature dimension of 1321."
