Description

Photograph of a diagram of the planting depths of bulbs, November, 1931. The diagram shows the surface of the ground at top and the depths below the surface in inches along the right side. The anemone and flag iris are on the one inch line while the crocus, iris bulb, rananculus and snow drop sit on the three inch line. Next is the tulip, gladiolus and watsonia at four inches and the narcissus at five inches. The hyacinth is at six inches and the lilies should be planted at seven inches.
