Description

Annotation translation: "Non-christian children in the door of a hut in inland Siangland (Puruk Tjahu). A dajak cradle is hanging in the doorway. All sorts of magic objects have been tied to it. They are supposed to protect the child from illness and evil spirits. They include bottles, roots, pieces of wood, snailshells, animals' teeth, beads and many other things. Since then these children and their parents have become christian."; Annotation: "Heidenkinder unter der Hüttentüre im Innern des Sianglandes (Puruk-Tjahu).
