Description

Annotation: "Die erste Aussendung vom Dezember 1828."; Note: Reproduktion eines Photopositivs.; Note translation: Intersting iconography - Praetorius was the only member of the leadership of the BM leadership to visit Ghana before 1914, and died in Accra in 1885. The faces on the top row are indeed very early Ghana missionaries who all died there, but Dieterle, Riis and Christaller, though D. & C. were not part of the missionary attempts of the 1830s, in fact survived to die in Europe.
