Description

The following datasets are part of the work entitled: “An approach to estimate canopy height in C4 tropical forages”, which is currently under review. The article proposes an approach to measure the canopy of three species of grass (Tifton 85, Palisade grass and Guinea grass) using a low-cost ultrasound. Linear models are built considering individual species as well as groups of species. The codes have been written in both Portuguese and English. The main ones used for the article are the following: - “agrupamento_dados_totais_por_tipo” (grouping of all data by type) presents the codes for analyzes without the correction factor using the following dataset: “medidas_especies_20_amostras” (measurements from the three species, using 20 samples); - “agrupamento_dados_totais_por_tipo_com_correcao” (grouping of all data by type with correction) presents codes for analyzes with the correction factor using the following datasets: “amostras_species_20_samples_com_correcao_marandu”, “amostras_species_20_samples_com_correcao_mombaca” and “amostras_species_20_samples_com_correcao_tifton” (samples from one of the three species using 20 samples with correction factor); - “agrupamento_dados_totais” (grouping of data with all data) presents the codes for the final models with cross-validation with all species. Notes:- “sensor” means experimental samples measured by the ultrasound;- “obs” means theoretical samples (measured manually);- “controlado” means samples from pots;- “campo” means samples from the field (farm). For further information, please contact: [email protected]
