Data for Enhancing Executive Function through Family Cultural Capital: A Preschool Study within the Scope of Education for Sustainable Development
View DatasetDescription
This dataset supports the study titled "Enhancing Executive Function through Family Cultural Capital: A Preschool Study within the Scope of Education for Sustainable Development". It comprises responses from 354 preschool children (ages 3–6), their primary caregivers, and lead teachers, collected across six kindergartens in Fujian Province, China. The dataset includes validated measures of four key constructs: Family Cultural Capital (FCC), Concentration/Empathy (CE), Peer Interaction Ability (PIA), and Executive Function (EF). Demographic variables (child gender and grade level) are also included. All measures were culturally adapted into Chinese and demonstrated strong reliability (Cronbach’s α > 0.85). The dataset enables replication and extension of the structural equation model tested in the original study, particularly the chain mediation pathways linking FCC to EF via CE and PIA.
