Lower Fungom Mundabli 225 Wordlist

Tschonghongei, Nelson C.

Description

Mundabli is a variety of the Yemne-Kimbi language group (Good et al 2011) spoken in Lower Fungom in Fungom Subdivision in Menchum Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. The langauge is tonal and has lost its nominal prefixes which now surface as concord or agreement markers in the environment of adnominals. In the wordlist, we observed individual lexical variation among the two consultants from whom the data was collected. The variation could be accounted for by the differences noticed in sociolinguistic profile of both consultants.
