Raw Data_Loneliness, Rumination, Social Support, and Depression in Out-of-Province College Students
View DatasetDescription
The dataset, "Raw Data_Loneliness, Rumination, Social Support, and Depression in Out-of-Province College Students," was collected from college students studying away from their home province in several universities across China through an online survey on the Questionnaire Star platform (www.Sojump.com) from May to June 2025. After excluding invalid responses, 780 valid questionnaires were included in the final dataset. The study aimed to examine the direct and indirect effects of loneliness and rumination on depression, with a focus on the mediating role of rumination and the moderating role of social support. This dataset provides valuable insights into the psychological adaptation of out-of-province college students, offering empirical evidence for interventions aimed at reducing depression by addressing loneliness, minimizing maladaptive rumination, and enhancing social support.
