Junction Deposit Carbonate Study Chemical Maps

Description

Chemical mapping (energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy) data of replacement microstructures in carbonates from the Junction gold deposit near Kambalda in the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. Maps show relationships between phases as calcite is replaced by dolomite and siderite. Included are the Bruker composite files that contain spectra for each point on the map, images of chemical maps for individual elements and composite RGB maps showing Mg, Fe, and Ca respectively. For composite images, chemistry is overlain on back scattered electron images to give the image the resolution of the BSE image but chemical data from the x-ray spectra.
