Utilization of freshwater mussel in the feeding of the native community

This methodology was descript and carried out by residents of the island of Tabatinga. Empirically we know of the use of freshwater mussel for human consumption. However, never actually registered for the scientific milieu. Because of this, this work aims to evidence the use as food form of the freswater mussel by the community riverside of the island of Tabatinga, municipality of Abaetetuba, state of Pará.Amazon region
