British Electoral Data, 1885-1949

This data were originally compiled by F.W.S. Craig and published in <i>British Parliamentary Election Results, 1885-1918</i> and <i>British Parliamentary Election Results, 1918-1949</i>. Dr William Field created a digital version of this data which forms the basis of this study. However, History Data Service has made enhancements to the original digital files. Enhancements consist of the provision of a documentation guide explaining this data in more detail and flagging some potential errors and omissions that the first digital version of this data had in relation to the original printed sources.
