Justices of the Peace, 1669-1699

This dataset constitutes an index, arranged alphabetically by surname, of the names of justices of the peace occurring in certain records at The National Archives (TNA), London. This data was originally created as part of the preparation for B. D. Henning (ed) <i>History of Parliament: the House of Commons 1660 - 1690</i> (London, 1983). The original index created on punched cards covered the period 1642-1700. However, the surviving punched cards converted into a machine readable form by History Data Service only cover the period 1669-1699.<br> <br>
