Legible signs include: "Entrance to Sears Pico", "Sears Roebuck and"..., "Sears". This Sears was located on the SW corner of Pico Boulevard and West Boulevard on a lot bounded by the intersection of San Vicente and Pico. It had rooftop parking, as is indicated on the photo, a feature which was touted, together with its ultra-modern construction, in the planning phases in 1938. It opened in 1939.
