Deep JWST/NIRSpec spectroscopy of Irony, a luminous Little Red Dot Active Galactic Nucleus at redshift z=6.68
View DatasetDescription
The spectroscopic data comes from the Cycle-2 JWST program ID 4106 (PIs E. J. Nelson and I. Labbe). The original observations incurred a ‘mirror-tilt’ event andresulted in unusable grating exposures; compensation time was awarded in Cycle 3. The current observations consist of a single pointing with the NIRSpec spectrograph and the Micro Shutter Assembly (MSA). They use a single configuration designed for the prism disperser; the same configuration was also observed with the G395M grating, but this target incurs no spectral overlaps. The prism integrations consist of three nodded exposures, each with three 16-groups integrations, using the NRSIRS2 readout. For G395M, we use two times three nodded exposures, each with three 21-groups integrations. The on-source time is 10.6 and 26.8 ks for the prism and G395M, respectively. The data reduction used msaexp (G. Brammer 2023), corresponding to version 4.0 on the DAWN JWST Archive.Relevant publications will be added in due time.
