The North Western Diocese, Tanzania, 1984. From a baking class at Ntoma Home Craft School. Large iron basins are used: one filled with sand is placed over the fire. It takes about an hour to heat up the sand, then another basin is placed on top of the first one. Now we are ready for baking bread or a cake.
