“Camping in India”. A large number of indigenous people are sitting in groups and in the background is a large canvas tent. A cart and oxen stand to one side. Many of the missionaries travelled either on sight seeing tours or to preach to people in far flung regions. During the summer season many would travel up into the mountains to escape the heat, this would often involve moving a large number of possessions from one place to another.
