Description

“Tala Pir. The grave of a Muhammadan Saint. It is 25 miles N.E. of Jaipur and is mainly built of stones from destroyed Hindu Temples.” External view of stairs leading up to stone entranceway. This is possibly the burial site of Sheikh Burhan, a Muslim mendicant whose shrine is located at Tala, northeast of Jaipur. ❧ United Free Church of Scotland photographs from the Rajputana mission.
