Description

Apostasia shenzhenica has a karyotype of 2N=2X=68 with uniform small-size chromosomes . To completely sequence A. shenzhenica genome, we generated a total of 80.02 Gb of raw reads, with multiple insert libraries ranging in size from 180 bp to 20 Kb. A K-mer analysis estimated the genome size of A. shenzhenica at 471.0Mb. We assembled the sequence using Allpaths-lg (49292) software. The total length of the assembly was 348Mb (scaffold N50 1.196 Mb in length; corresponding contig N50 length 30.1 Kb).
