Description

“How does the interaction between Samoa’s everyday living, the global community knowledge, and technology contribute to Samoa’s positive convergence in to a Samoa Intelligent Information Society (SiIS)?” The report proposes an ideal vision for a SiIS. It also provides a development and design architecture, deployment and simulation model for the proposed SiIS model, which introduces five specific steps as guidelines to follow when developing and designing the Landscape Infrastructure of an Information Society. The SiIS model presents four important novel sub models within a single traditional Samoan district including the Samoan People and Everyday Living Service Platform (SPAELSP); the intelligent Samoa Cultural Systems and Service.-Based Platform (iSCAASBP); the intelligent Samoa Multichannel Production-Service Market Architecture Platform (iSP-SMPSMAP); and a new intelligent Samoa Information Technology-Service Delivery Architecture Platform (iSIT-SDAP). The proposed SiIS landscape infrastructure provides connectivity to ALL people using a federated wireless hybrid cloud-based application, virtualisation and industrialisation Network system which make possible Resource Pooling for ALL. The nature of the study is multi-field multi-level and it adopts the interpretive qualitative research methodology. Our primary audience are the Samoan leaders and policy makers, global partners, business management and Information Technology analysts and operators.
