Befragung von Institutionen mit Aufgaben bezüglich der beruflichen Integration von Behinderten - 2003

The study focuses on the integration of disabled people into the primary labour market. Based on the assumption that inadequate professional integration is mainly due to insufficient implementation of existing (legal) measures, the study focuses on the framework conditions, strategies and attitudes of the relevant actors at the interface with the primary labour market. On the one hand, these include companies, because their policies ultimately determine the access of disabled people to the labour market. Secondly, they include services and organisations active in the placement of disabled persons in the primary labour market or their support. These include Disability Insurance offices, community social services and rehabilitation clinics. The study focuses on the relationship between the expectations and experiences of companies and the offer to support the employment of disabled people. The aim is to compare the needs of companies with regard to the services, framework conditions and individual conditions of disabled people with the service structures, services and strategies of the institutions which support the employment of disabled people. The study, which was carried out on behalf of the Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO), thus provides information on deficits in mediation activities and makes suggestions for improving efforts to integrate disabled people into the workplace.
