Current Population Survey, June 1984: Fertility and Birth Expectations

Description

This data collection supplies standard monthly labor force data for the week prior to the survey. Comprehensive information is given on the employment status, occupation, and industry of persons 14 years old and older. Additional data are available concerning weeks worked and hours per week worked, reason not working full-time, total income and income components, and residence. For this supplement, a battery of questions was asked of women 15-54 years old to obtain information on their childbirth history. Data include the total number of children born, date of birth of the most recent child(ren), and date of the first marriage. Women 18-44 years old were also asked about the number of additional children they expected to have. Information on demographic characteristics, such as age, sex, race, marital status, veteran status, household relationship, educational background, and Hispanic origin, is available for eachperson in the household enumerated.
