Image of Awarikku holding something like a flower, pine cone or pomegranate. ❧ [Excavation Description:] Discovered under trees in the garden of a family residence in the village of Incirli by Elizabeth Carter and her survey team from UCLA in 1993. ❧ [Medium:] Stone ❧ [Script Note:] Phoenician, Luwian Hieroglyphic, Neo-Assyrian ❧ [Physical Object Description:] Stone stela, extremely weathered. Approx. 114.5 cm x 46.9 cm x 18.2 cm. Text on all four sides and iconographic representation showing Assyrian influence on the front top left. ❧ [Physical Object Note:] Dividing lines used with text on the top front right, for two lines underneath the image, and the top half of the right-hand side. ❧ [Physical Object Note:] Luwian hieroglyphics on top right; Neo-Assyrian cuneiform on front top; Phoenician on remain portions, overwritten with later Greek on the top back.
