Description

To investigate the synergistic contributions of the host plant and its root microbiome to NAFC degradation in constructed wetland treatment systems (CWTSs), we performed metatranscriptomic sequencing of Typha latifolia roots collected from mesocosms actively degrading NAFCs. This approach allowed us to capture shifts in both microbial and plant functional gene expression associated with effective OSPW bioremediation.
