Replication Data for: Probing supersolidity through excitations in a spin-orbit-coupled Bose-Einstein condensate
View DatasetDescription
This dataset presents data on a supersolid phase of matter. The supersolid arises from synthetic spin-orbit coupling coupling of ultracold potassium atoms. The data was obtained from absorption imaging, where absorption of photons is measured with an electron multiplying CCD camera and using a high-numerical-aperture objective. Two different kinds of measurements were performed:1. In-situ images, where the absorption imaging is performed with the atomic cloud in the optical trap and2. Time-of-flights images, measuring the momentum distribution of the cloud by mapping the momentum distribution to density via a time-of-flight expansion. The in-situ images are characterized by a modulated Gaussian with a certain width, spatial modulation phase and modulation period, whereas the time-of-flight images are characterized by the positions of four separate momentum clouds.
