Description
Chronic viral infections are a major global health issue, leading to global immune system dysfunction, including impaired function and depletion of B cells. However, its pathogenic mechanism and how chronic viral infection affects the differentiation and function of B cells have not been thoroughly studied. Our research found that infection with LCMV-CL13 in mice would lead to atrophy and damage of the white medulla of the spleen, as well as impaired reproductive center (GC) response. In addition, we also identified the key factors regulating the differentiation of B cells in LCMV-CL13-infected mice.
