Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) Model for Predicting Camelina sativa Seed Water Content from NIR Spectra (1354-1527 nm)
View DatasetDescription
PLSR Model for Seed Water Content PredictionThis upload contains a calibrated Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) model file (Zeolite_water_prediction_1354-1527.vpl) used to predict the water content percentage of Camelina sativa seeds from near-infrared (NIR) reflectance spectra.Model Details:Instrument: Model developed using spectra acquired with a MicroNIR™ 1700ES spectrometer (VIAVI).Spectral Range: Optimized for the 1354–1527 nm region.Software: Model created and saved using MicroNIR™ Pro v3.2 software. It is only compatible with this software for predictions.Calibration: The model was calibrated using gravimetric water content data from seeds desiccated over Zeolite 4Å molecular sieves. Spectra were pre-processed with a first derivative.Usage Instructions:This .vpl file is not a standalone program. It is a model file that must be loaded into the MicroNIR™ Pro v3.2 software (or compatible version).Within the software, use the "Batch Prediction" function and select this model to predict the water content of new NIR spectra acquired under similar conditions.
