GreenStorm hydrological dataset: Rain garden in Sense-City, Paris
Description
The pilot facility is a cylindrical-shaped bioretention system with 7 m2 of surface area. It consists of the following layers: vegetated surface depression (20 cm), filter substrate (45-58 cm, sandy loam), transition (10 cm, sand), drainage (8 cm on average, gravel, DN100 drain pipe slotted on the top 1/3), and gravel storage (42 cm, bottom connects to the native clay soil) from top to bottom. It receives stormwater runoff from an 85 m² asphalt pavement, the equivalent annual rainfall loading is 3.57 meters per year (received water being distributed over the garden surface based on data during 2023).The data was collected under the frame of the OPUR observatory of urban hydrology (https://www.leesu.fr/opur/), with a specific support from Ville de Paris.
